Color Palettes 🎨
Color palettes are used to draw a fractal render in the application canvas. A multitude of palettes are available in Rsfrac, allowing you to explore different visuals.
You can select a specific palette using the color
command, or quickly cycle through them by pressing c
while the canvas is focused.
A preview of each available palette is provided at the end of this section.
In addition to choosing a color palette, you can further customize the fractal's appearance by changing two other parameters.
The Smoothness
The smoothness parameter controls the contrast between two adjacent divergence values.
- Higher smoothness results in a seamless, flowing gradient, creating a polished and visually pleasing fractal.
- Lower smoothness introduces visible bands between divergence levels, as illustrated below:
The Palette Offset
The palette offset allows you to shift through the spectrum of colors within a palette, modifying how the divergence values map to specific colors.
- Use the
+
or-
keys while focusing on the canvas to adjust this parameter.
